Steam Bell Beer Works, Chesterfield’s first brewery, will open their doors for their grand opening today June 11th starting at 1pm. Steam Bell will have a mind boggling ten beers they will be serving throughout this weekend.
Here is a look at part of that list.
Here are a few interesting facts behind the three of the beer names:
- Patchronce – Grisette with blackberries & raspberries. Patch ronce is actually French for briar patch.
- Southern Stubby – West Coast DIPA with Mandarina Bavaria, citra, and Nelson Sauvignon hops will be tapped on Sunday. Stubby is a term used for a squat (short) beer bottle in New Zealand.
- Liège is a city in Belgium where the waffles are characterized by being sweet with vanilla and cinnamon and risen using ale yeast rather than baking soda.

Tiramisu Stout, Patchronce, & Grisette
The last two beers are collaborations with Three Notch’d and Adroit Theory.
