If you’ve heard about this tour in the past and wished you had the chance to attend, make sure to get yourself over to Strangeways Wednesday October 21st before tickets are gone. Being the final and one of the most anticipated events of RVA Beer Week, this tour will sell out quickly. Virginia Breweries Kicking Off Virginia Craft Beer Month At Philadelphia Beer Camp Tour Stop

So far eight Virginia breweries have signed on to join fellow brewers and beer lovers on Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp Across America, an epic traveling beer festival taking place later this summer. Nearly 700 craft brewers from around the country have already signed on for the multi-weekend event. With more than 1,300 craft beers anticipated to be on tap, Beer Camp Across America promises to be the largest craft beer celebration in history.

Here are the Virginia breweries heading to the Mid-Atlantic edition, taking place at Penn Treaty Park in Philadelphia on August 2nd from Noon to 5pm:

  • Champion — Charlottesville
  • Port City — Alexandria
  • Starr Hill — Crozet
  • Lickinghole Creek — Goochland
  • Crooked Run — Leesburg
  • Forge — Lorton
  • Heritage — Manassas
  • Redbeard — Staunton

Tickets for the festival are $65/person and include a commemerative tasting glass, unlimited samples of over 150 craft beers, and live music.  Purchase tickets online here.

Richmond Beeristoric Tour Tickets Go On Sale October 15th

It may be month away but now is the time to prepare for RVA Beer Week.  Last night, Taste the Local revealed information on this year’s Richmond Beerhistoric Tour.

Trust me when I say, THIS. WILL. SELL. OUT!

This is the fourth annual Richmond Beeristoric Tour. It will feature 8 Richmond area breweries. Historic beer locations around the city, local food, and a few surprises. Sunday, November 10th, 2013. Only 100 people can go on the tour. Tickets are first come first serve.

There are two buses with 50 people each. Each bus will have its own local historian. One Bus leaves from Mekong, the other from Capital Ale House Downtown.
Tickets will go on sale on October 15th and are $45.00 a ticket

-Center of the Universe Brewing will be selling tickets for the Capital Ale House bus
-Strangeways Brewing will be selling tickets for the Mekong bus

Cash or check only for purchasing tickets. Checks should be made out to The Virginia Craft Brewers Guild.

You must be 21 or over to go on this tour.
