Friday is RVA Day at Station 2

Head out to Station 2 Friday August 17th to support two hometown breweries.  Station 2 will feature six taps each from Legend and Hardywood.  That’s twelve taps of Richmond craft beer.

Old Dominion Tap Takeover at BlowToad

There is no shortage of tap takeovers happening  around the city today and Carytown is no exception.  BlowToad features seven beers in an Old Dominion Brewing tap takeover.  Brewery rep Craig Machenry  will be there talking all things Dominion. Here is the list of beers being tapped:

Over in Midlothian, Sedona Taphouse will be hosting a Hardywood tap takeover and glass giveaway. Co-founder Eric McKay and head brewer Brian Nelson will be hanging out as well.

Friday August 3rd

First Friday Firkin with Sean O’Hern

Sean O’Hern, from Commerical Tap House, created the inaugural firkin in Hardywood’s First Friday Firkin Series which will feature a firkin created by a different local beer enthusiast each month.  Sean has  selected a blend of sage, ginger and lemon zest to create an one of a kind version of Singel. A matching Randall will be on hand as well.

Wow, that’ was a lot to take in and  there is still  Saturday to deal with….

The Camel Goes All In For Virginia Beer Tap Takeover

The Camel is going all in for the start of the inaugural Virginia Craft Beer Month on Wednesday August 1st.  In what had to be an astounding task to coordinate, Virginia craft beer  will be flowing from all of their 28 taps.  This list is a sight to behold:

DuClaw Brewing Launch Party at Sedona Tonight

DuClaw Brewing has been slow in it’s expansion into the Richmond market.  I’ve seen a few of their beers on tap at Whole Foods but can not recall any restaurants in town serving their beers.  This all changes tonight  Tuesday July 24th as Sedona Taphouse hosts DuClaw Brewing Richmond launch party starting at 4pm.

Meet Heavy Seas Founder at Sedona Taphouse Takeover

Head over to Sedona Taphouse and join Heavy Seas founder Hugh Sisson for a tap takeover today  July 17th from 5pm until midnight.

Free your inner pyrate with eight Heavy Seas beers, a special keg of 2011 Great Pumpkin, and a cask conditioned pin of Loose Cannon IPA with Palisade, Centennial and Simcoe hops, and Red and White Birch chips.

As with all of Sedona’s takeovers, there will be a glass giveaway component to the night.

Have fun or prepare to walk the Plank.

Terrapin Tap Takeover at BlowToad

Sedona’s Blue Mountain Takeover is only a beginning to the fun in store for this week.  Beer will be flowing straight from Georgia tomorrow Wednesday July 11th when BlowToad has eight of their taps taken over by Terrapin Beer Company.  Included in the selection for the evening is one beer normally available only in Georgia.  Chat up Terrapin rep Dustin “Ranger” Walker as he gives away Terrapin glassware.  Turtle beer will flow until it’s gone.

Blue Mountain Tap Takeover Tonight at Sedona Taphouse

Sedona Taphouse has been having a string of great events making it a stand out beer destination in Midlothian, VA.  Tonight Tuesday July 10th is no different as Sedona holds Blue Mountain tap takeover featuring all of their Barrel House Series beers plus a pin of  dry hopped Full Nelson.  As with each of their tap takeovers, Sedona sweetens the deal by holding a glass giveaway as well.  So if you missed your chance  to try the new Barrel House beers last month, tonight’s your chance.

Founding Father Tap Takeover

How are you celebrating the night before Independence Day? How about a tap takeover featuring beer named after one of our country’s founding fathers?

Capital Ale House Innsbrook is hosting a Samuel Adams tap takeover today July 3rd starting at 4pm.
