My Glass Wish For Goose Island Takeover At Sedona Taphouse

Goose Island Stem GlassI owe most of my glassware to Steal the Glass nights.  I find I have a hard time resisting them; even if there’s a chance I will end up with a duplicate of a glass already in my collection.

Goose Island has a few glasses that are pretty cool.  I already have their pilsner style glass with their 312 logo but there is another glass I have longed after seeing it a few times, the long stemmed chalice with silver goose logo.

Hopefully, I will receive this glass tonight Tuesday February 5th at Sedona Taphouse during their Goose Island tap takeover and glass giveaway.  If not, at least there will be great beer to drown my sorrows.  Here is their selection for the night:

Draft
312 Urban Wheat
Naughty Goose
Big John
Nightstalker
Christmas Ale

Bottles
Matilda
Pepe Nero

The takeover starts at 5pm; head over to the Facebook event for more information.

Terrapin Tap Takeover At The Roosevelt

What could be more exciting than Lee Gregory’s food at The Roosevelt?  How about a beer event at The Roosevelt?  Don’t get me wrong, I  don’t think they need to have events with the amazing food that flows out of that kitchen. It is just cool that they sometimes do.

Tonight, September 20th, ride over to The Roosevelt for a tap takeover with Terrapin Beer Company. Terrapin rep  Ranger will be hanging out for the evening with glassware to give away.  Here are the beers they will be tapping:

All American Imperial Pilsner
Hop Karma (Brown IPA)
Hopsecutioner  IPA (American IPA)
Easy Rider (Hoppy Session Ale)
Rye Pale Ale
Pumpkin Fest

Meet up with Ranger for a little Georgia beer and grab a bite from Lee.

DuClaw Brewing Launch Party at Sedona Tonight

DuClaw Brewing has been slow in it’s expansion into the Richmond market.  I’ve seen a few of their beers on tap at Whole Foods but can not recall any restaurants in town serving their beers.  This all changes tonight  Tuesday July 24th as Sedona Taphouse hosts DuClaw Brewing Richmond launch party starting at 4pm.

Here are the beers Sedona will have for the evening:

Serum xxIPA
EuForia Toffee Nut Brown
Bare Ass Blonde
Mysterium Belgian Spiced Ale
Soul Jacker
X-5 Sorachi Ace IPA
X-1 Oak Aged Imperial Rye Porter
2010 Oak Aged Black Jack Stout (Aged in Jack Daniel’s barrels)
Devil’s Milk

Head over to DuClaw’s beer listing to find out more about each beer.

There will also be a glass giveaway so head over to Sedona and enjoy as this regional brewery comes to town.

Live the Dream, Steal the Glass at Weezie’s

It seems like you can’t sneeze without finding a steal the glass night in this town. Personally, I’m enjoying seeing all these other places in town join in on what use to be only a Capital Ale House thing.  Weezie’s Kitchen joins the fun tonight, May 2nd, featuring Old Dominion Brewing starting at 6pm.  Weezie’s will have the following Old Dominion brews on hand for the evening:

Gigi’s Farmhouse Ale — bottle conditioned Belgian farmhouse ale with Bravo, Select, and Cascade hops.

Oak Barrel Stout  — stout with peated and smoked malts dry hopped with oak chips and vanilla beans. This was the stout I selected to use in my first attempt at making a stout ice cream a few years back; it worked out really well.

Come on out and live the dream tonight.  Remember the fun starts at 6pm.

Many Glasses of Maisel’s Weisse

Once again it’s time for another Steal the Glass Night at Capital Ale House.  Tonight, May 1st, Maisel’s Weisse is the featured brewery of the evening.  I always get curious about what type of glass Cap Ale will be handing out so I took a look through Maisel’s varied selection to see if they had anything interesting. Boy, did they ever!

Only way to find out which glass could be yours would be to go steal your own.
