There Will Be No Free Beer At Commercial Taphouse’s 20th Anniversary Party

Commercial Taphouse 20th AnnivBut you should go anyway…

UPDATE: Commercial Taphouse has revealed their schedule of special tappings for the week to their Facebook event:

Thursday, Oct. 10th, 4:30pm- We kick off the week with a cask pin of Hardywood Bourbon Cru from the first release in April 2012. At 9pm the Big Guys take the stage and rock the house.

Friday, Oct. 11th, 4:30pm- Our good friend Andy Hannas got to brew his Earl Grey Brown Ale at Champion Brewing. There is only one keg coming to RVA and we got it! In addition, we will be tapping our keg of The Bruery Tart of Darkness. Come buy Andy a couple pints!

Saturday, Oct. 12th, 4:30pm-De Ranke Saison De Dottignies 5.5% First keg we have ever gotten from this tiny Belgian brewery in West Flanders that Sean fell in love with on his trip to Belgium. A brewery driven by passion, integrity, and well, damn good beer!

Sunday, Oct. 13th, 4:30pm- Bell’s Batch #9000 Kegged January 27, 2010. 12.5%abv. They brewed it once. This may be your last chance ever to try this beer on draft.

Monday, Oct. 14th, 4:30pm- Williamsburg Alewerks Cafe Royale 8%. One of brewmaster Geoff Logan’s most delicious offerings and a regional cult beer. He ages an amped up version of his Coffeehouse stout in Virginia Gentleman’s Bourbon Barrels for 3 months. One of VA’s best beers!

Tuesday, Oct. 15th, 4:30pm – Great Divide Yeti (2010 Vintage) 9.5%. We were saddened to see Great Divide pull out of the Richmond markets a few years back. But we were smart enough to squirrel away a keg of their award winning Imperial Stout for just the right occasion. Now, in addition to celebrating our 20th anniversary, we are also welcoming Great Divide back to town!

Wednesday, Oct. 16th, 4:30 pm – Eggenberg Urbock 23, 9.6%. At 23 degrees plato this was once one of the strongest beers in the world. Those days are long gone, but it’s never too late to revisit one of the precursors to the extreme beer revolution. Brewed by the oldest family owned brewery in Austria and patiently matured for 9 months before being packaged and shipped.

Thurday, Oct.17th. 4:30 pm- kick the kegs and bottle blowout!!!
